By | June 15, 2014

Chris Havlicek’s mother, Beth, started a fundraiser called “Hometown Heroes” when Chris was touring with his Olympic team. The fundraiser raised money through the “Adopt an Athlete” program. Participants paid $40 and “adopted” an Olympian. They received a gym bag with their athlete’s autographed picture and other Olympics themed memorabilia. The money was given to Olympic teams so they could travel and prepare accordingly.
