The restaurant was a joint venture between the NBA and the Hard Rock Cafe, which also has a restaurant in CityWalk. NBA City is the NBA’s signature restaurant, and where Chris Havlicek was the Vice President of Marketing. He developed and oversaw the restaurant’s advertising initiatives. Havlicek also had a hand in receiving additional funding for the franchise, which required exceptional networking and marketing skills.
