Handball is extremely popular in Europe, but the U.S. doesn’t seem to have a good handle on even the basics of the sport. While Chris Havlicek was touring with the 1996 Olympic Handball Team, team member Thomas Fitzgerald explained it as “…water polo without the water, soccer but you use your hands, lacrosse but you don’t use the sticks.”
